Our Philosophy

Bellas Cupcakes delivers traditional British sweets, including cupcakes and whole cakes, from its bakery in Shirokane Takanawa, Tokyo.

Our shop was founded from the idea of the previous British owner: "In Japan, there are no fluffy, moist, crumbly, authentic cupcakes like those in my home country," and "I can't find any homemade cakes that are simple and delicious like the ones my mother makes."

Bellas Cupcakes was born in this British woman's small kitchen in 2010. We continue to provide cupcakes that are both delicious and beautiful, while adhering to traditional British recipes.

Bella's Cupcakes are not just cute to look at. We hope to spread the idea that "cupcakes = delicious and make you feel happy" across the country as a circle of happiness.

These are the three wishes that Bellas Cupcakes offers.

1. Make cupcakes more accessible.

We want you to enjoy our cupcakes as a light meal or snack in a variety of everyday situations. We handcraft each one with care so that you can feel a "slightly special feeling" and "an exciting moment" the moment you pick one up.

2. As a place to nurture feelings for loved ones.

We want everyone to have fun on important occasions such as baby showers, birthday parties, weddings, and corporate events, and to foster feelings of cherishing each other. We carefully reflect our customers' desired images in the design so that we can deliver those feelings on cupcakes.

3. As a communication tool to convey gratitude and joy

Cupcakes are a sweet treat loved by people of all ages, nationalities, and genders, making them perfect for parties. They're easy to serve and clean up, yet they add a touch of elegance to any table. Bella's Cupcakes aims to be a wonderful communication tool for expressing gratitude and joy.

Origin of the store name

The Origin of Our Name

　　

"Bella" is a nickname for common British names like "Isabella" and "Annabella." It means "beautiful," "sweet," and "God is my vow."

Our image of Bella is of an innocent elementary school-aged girl who loves her mom's fluffy homemade cupcakes.

Bellas Cupcakes was named after the image of a warm shop filled with cupcakes made by Bella's beloved mom.
